the final goodbye once again

i went for my friend's mum funeral just hours ago. its morbid to think that soon after, the 5 of us were hanging out at the nearby coffeeshop, cracking up and going into peals of laughter as we caught up over supper about fond memories and the time lost btw us since the past 10 years.

that's life i guessed. and i'm sad, seriously coz my friend's mum was (was,huh...) someone i knew, someone i walked past, smiled, even greeted 'auntie' since i was so blardy young...as soon as i learnt to keep memories that a child could ever haf...

you see,my friend lives in the next block. we still do. so to know that his mum has passed on...someone who's a dedicated mother to her 5 children and on weekends, would go for karaoke sessions with her hubby...someone who sees no qualms going to the wet market daily pushing her empty blue(or was it red) trolley all by herself, returning home wif the trolley almost overflowing wif goodies and groceries for her beloved family...someone whom i could spot at her window hanging out clothes to dry or doing the dishes...one fond memory was of her at the windows while i waved happily and shouted hello to my friend - we were from the same primary school. that was when i was 12. after psle. i remembered, coz i had a tiny crush on him. lolx

my last memory of seeing her was just that - her pushing the trolley back frm the market, in her light blue shirt and dark pants..same frizzy hair and that look of pride and love, knowing that she has bought enough to feed her family contentedly for the next few days at least.

auntie - i hope you will rest in peace wherever u are especially now that all 5 of ur children has grown up enough for you to say goodbye without much worries at all.

death humbles one - reinforces the individual that one day, our time will come. however much we may live in this world, as rich or poor, as clever or nt that brilliant..one day, our time will be up...haf we make the most of what we want to achieve before we close our eyes for the final time, never to open again?

and walaupun kita mungkin telah derhaka or mungkin deny adanya tuhan sekalian alam (subhanallah) no matter what, kerana adanya adat dan agama dan of coz tradisi, nak tak nak, kita akan dikebumikan atau diberi sambutan yang terakhir dan terhormat yang akan ditentu family, saudara atau masyarakat kita...we won't be the ones who decide, for we'll already be dead.

i love life. and now as i continue my journey of life, i'm missing one more person from my life.

i lost count how many i haf lost thus far bt insyallah, i'll remember them in my prayers. i hope when the time comes, i'll be in yours too. insyallah.
