exchanging ur vows in singapore part 2

wow, i have a comment on my recent post. i'm excited *beams* (a ray of light shone thru siti's dark stormy cloudy life thus far)

anyway, i doubt i'll get married. i'm too traumatised by how Weak, Light and unimportant the institution of marriage is being treated these days..right from the beginning too, i must add.

"marriage is just an excuse to have sex legally (in a religious context)" - A dear friend

Just like in one of my posts last month, i whined about how to get married in singapore, one has to register in advance, take a queue number (on the day of the wedding itself) and take his/her vows in a cramped office in ROM..mind you, the office is not even nicely decorated for goodness sake!

NOTE the word; OFFICE..ur exchanging your vows in an OFFICE..like, don't one have enough of that when they're workign?

Thus, I think it must be the SETTING..it's all about the atmosphere, the ambience..every great producer and writer will agree to that!

simple maths; Atmosphere=Ambience=Mood to get married which basically translates into the fact that the feeling one gets while exchanging their vows, never to be forgotten, and forever to be treasured..

maybe ROM needs some serious funding...and maybe they shud conduct a focus group on the couples and divorcees on Where they exchange their vows and compare the statistics btw the different settings in which the vows took place...

and maybe, getting back to basics, they could just start by decorating their offices.

note to florists; no more bouquets of flowers for weddings, time to start selling vases of flowers...p.s it's not for the bride.
