game 0 malaysian tvcs 1

norisha called a few mins earlier and asked me this, 'why don't you sound excited. singapore won'

first thing was i jus took 'wudhu' for sembahyang ishak ..2nd thing was; how do i tell her that it was a pretty lame game..(i enjoyed the malaysians' tvcs that were showin on the other tv more as my dad was watching BH Perdana 2006)though of course i am happy for singapore...congrats for retaining the championship second time in a row(that's a commendable feat so to speak)...BUT

the game reminded mi of this headline i came up with during 'international media mgt class' in yr 2...

"The Lions meowed..."

..n the freekicks taken were lame..the passings; its 'oh my god' much less Said the Better..whu they intend to pass to, only they know..mayb they did passed the ball pretty well, bt the rest whu's supposed to catch it seemed to be stoning (maybe that's y they gt pushed n rolled over left n right by the thais..)...n the referees were worse than kayu (at least kayu gt different grades; rosewood, teak..); they were driftwoods...at least in the 1st half..

it reminded mi of former thai minister's thaksin's words abt the current junta system in thailand in today's papers..

"there's corruption IN the system"-thaksin...Much less said, the better. i figured the first leg shud be much better, i didnt watch.

conclusion: singapore won,yayy!..bt they shud stop meowing and start earning international respect wif tonight's win as their platform...shaky as it is, it shud nvr be a 1-off thing...IF singapore wants to earn its respect as an asian Sports Hub..

N, the kallang stadium shud not be torn down (its a freaking integral part of our heritage in sports n nation-building; just haf a freaking look again at the montage that was shown on NDP 06) . never. no money can buy the sweat, tears and former memories it hold...Building a grand sports hub won't bring those back..and i doubt having a more advanced sports complex in its place can bring or live up the passion that had burnt in kallang stadium...prove me wrong though.

Nitez!
