If God so wills...

This past week, i've been falling in love with what i will be doing the next few years. Despite the quirks of the systems, I guessed if you choose a path that is less taken, well, you gotta put up with the shortcomings and pitfalls that come your way sooner or later. Since its a pretty new scheme, i guessed there is no point in complaining of the lack of support when the foundation is still shaky.

But i love it thus far. With the intention that I want to make a difference in the lives of this special batch of kids, no matter how small and how idealistic it may sound, just being around in a place where knowledge comes together, it just makes me want to try to achieve a little bit more, and hold on for a little while longer.

And my mentor - she's good. she's committed and she's responsible thus far. And she loves the kids - and that's more than enough for the kids who need their support and love all the more...despite the fact that at the end of the day, they may just fall thru the cracks of the system...if they can graduate with the self-conviction that they can achieve if they put their mind to it, i just hope the conviction will stay with them for the rest of their lives...
